The Google Student Ambassador (GSA) Program chapter at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. Please note that this initiative is student-run. While we operate in connection with Google technologies and communities, we are an independent campus organization and not an official corporate entity of Google LLC.

- Contact and Identity Information: Your name, university email address, personal email address, and phone number when you register for an event, workshop, or hackathon.
- Academic Information: Your roll number, graduation year, and degree program (used solely to verify IIT Patna student status for campus-exclusive events).
- Participation Data: Attendance records, hackathon project submissions, and feedback form responses.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To register you for workshops, study jams, and competitions.
- To communicate with you regarding event schedules, updates, and resources.
- To issue, track, and verify digital certificates of participation or excellence (e.g., via our Certificate Verification portal).
- To select candidates during core team recruitment drives.
- To improve our future events based on your feedback.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Within the Core Team: Your information is accessible only to active GSA IIT Patna core team members who need it to execute community events.
- With Google (When Required): In specific instances—such as allocating Google Cloud Credits, providing Qwiklabs access, or distributing official Google swags—we may need to share your registered email address with the global Google Developer Communities team. You will be explicitly notified when registering for such events.
- With IIT Patna Administration: If required for official institute reporting or event clearances.
4. Data Retention and Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. Information collected via registration forms (such as Google Forms) is stored securely on cloud services associated with the official GSA IIT Patna accounts. We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or until you request its deletion.

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. You may also request that we correct or delete your data from our active mailing lists and records. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided below.
