Welcome to the Google Student Ambassador (GSA) Program chapter at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna ("GSA IIT Patna," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing our website, participating in our events, or engaging with our community initiatives, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
Please read these terms carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not participate in our programs or use our services.
1. General Information
The GSA IIT Patna is a student-run, on-campus community initiative operating at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna. While we engage with Google technologies, APIs, and community programs (such as Google Developer Communities), we are an independent student organization. We are not an official corporate entity, branch, or subsidiary of Google LLC. All views, opinions, and events organized are those of the student team.
2. Event Participation
By registering for and attending events (including workshops, hackathons, and study jams) organized by GSA IIT Patna, you agree to the following:
- Eligibility: Certain events may be restricted to current students of IIT Patna. We reserve the right to verify your academic status using your provided roll number and university email.
- Right of Admission: We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any participant from an event (virtual or physical) if their behavior disrupts the event or violates our Code of Conduct.
- Media Consent: By attending our events, you consent to being photographed or recorded. These media assets may be used for promotional purposes on our website, social media channels, and reports to Google community managers.
3. Intellectual Property
- Google Trademarks: "Google," "Google Cloud," "Gemini," and all associated logos and trademarks are the property of Google LLC. We use them under community guidelines for educational purposes.
- User-Generated Content: Any projects, code, or pitches you create during our hackathons or events remain your intellectual property. However, by participating, you grant GSA IIT Patna a non-exclusive right to showcase your project name, description, and team members on our platforms for demonstrative purposes.
4. Certificates and Verification
We may issue digital certificates of participation, excellence, or completion for certain events.
- Certificates are issued at the sole discretion of the GSA IIT Patna core team based on event-specific criteria (e.g., attendance, project submission).
- All official certificates can be verified through our Certificate Verification portal using the unique Certificate ID.
- Forging, altering, or misrepresenting certificates issued by GSA IIT Patna is strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban from future events and potential reporting to institute authorities.
5. Third-Party Links and Resources
Our website and event materials may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., Google Cloud console, Qwiklabs, external platforms). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GSA IIT Patna and its core team members shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your participation in our events, use of our website, or reliance on any information provided during our workshops.
7. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page, with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued participation in our community constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
